What is Global Shading Day?
Global Shading Day is an international event on 21 March to raise awareness about the benefits of shading in a changing climate to reduce energy use, emissions and improve comfort and wellbeing.
As energy efficiency becomes ever more critical, governments and policymakers around the world can take proactive steps by incorporating shading solutions into future building regulations.
Global Shading Day was created by the European Solar Shading Organisation which is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the EU’s ambitious energy-efficiency goals.
Global Shading Day is not just a day, it’s a movement towards a more sustainable and shaded future for our homes, workplaces and public buildings
